Hey there! My name is Andrew Furmanczyk, this is my Piano Academy.
I’m a piano teacher in real life, and I think people around the world should be able to have access to information that will teach them how to play the piano for themselves. There are no fees, or anything expected. I’m personally sick of the quick “play piano overnight” schemes. So I’m just a practical guy helping people learn how to play piano!
This all started on youtube, so if you click on the Video tab there will be all my video lessons on how to play piano. There’s also a forum so that we can become a community of people learning how to play piano together! You could start a topic or discussion about a certain area in playing the piano. Everyone can share their knowledge so that we all learn something new.
If there is something that’s not covered you can always ask me a question about whatever is confusing you. You might also want to subscribe to my channel on youtube so you can be updated with my new lessons as soon as they come out!
Wrapping it all up, this place is can be your one stop site for learning how to play piano, without having to pay anything, or commit to it in any serious way. If learning how to play piano is something you’ve always wanted to do, or maybe you’re just curious what it’s all about. This place is for you! ^_^ My goal is to take anything that could be complicated, and make it easy and clear to understand. Enjoy yourselves!

Thank you soooooooooooo much for your videos. I am a 59 year old grand-mother who was very poor when I was young and didn’t have the oppurtunity to take lessons. This is a life long dream to play the piano. I have gotten so much good direction from you. You’re right, the books confused me a lot. I was playing easy songs and didn’t understand the theory and progress was slow. I am sending my website to my 23 year old son who is starting to play keyboard. I know he will find it so much easier to learn from you. You are doing a fantastic job at teaching.

Know what makes me sad? It’s sites like this that remind me that people DO still have passions to learn new things. I always see people saying they want to do this and want to do that. But instead of learning how to play the guitar, they pick up rockband. instead of buying a dj table, they ONLY purcahse a software like DUBturbo, and in turn they never truely learn anything.
Your philosophy is right.Give a man a fish he will eat for a day.Put a man in a tank of fish and he will never eat fish ever again. XD Love ur lessons.

I had been looking for your website for a few weeks now, as I had used your You tube video to learn how to play the first part of Fur Elise. This was my first attempt at playing piano with both hands, and your little lesson video was awesome. Anyway, lost track of u for a bit and when I recently did a search for that video, I cudnt find it n thought all was lost cuz I had no lck finding other good lesson videos. Well today I stumbled upon the notes I took down from the Fur Elise lesson and there way your webpage! Wooo Hoo! I am back in business. Let’s see what I learn tonight!
Hiii Andrew , I kinda enjoyed watching you video but I am still confused , Mum and Dad got me a piano for Christmas and it just sit’s there waiting to be played I try learning songs off of YouTube but it’s not working for me I am not sure what to do ? Please Reply ……. Sopii x

Since I was a kid I always want to learn piano lesson but my family could not afford. Now I have a daughter and just like a lot of parent would love to offer their child what they dont have in their child hood. Finally after 38 years I purchase a piano of my own for both of us and now you are my one and only piano teacher.
All I want to say is you have the power to make the world different. You did a very awsome job by teaching and share your knowledge to anyone and without asking any things in return. Thank you so much.

hi Andrew, this is cady from the Philippines. I love playing the piano. I’ve just started playing when i was in high school. I’m 20 years old now, I don’t have money to pay for a formal piano class/ piano tutorial. I learned to play the piano by self taught. At first, playing piano was just more like a hobby for me but now It became my passion.
I play modern pop, RnB songs but I’m trying to learn how to play classical music.
I’m also learning how to read a music sheet. I saw you website just today and I find it really cool. I love the fact that you want to teach people how to play the piano. Not to mention that it’s free. Well I’m not really that good when it comes to piano but I have free piano tutorials for anyone in our place who wants to learn. I agreed with with you said that we can be like a community of piano players. ^_^ Andrew i want to learn more about piano. I want to be good at it! So I would like to ask some help from you. Thank you for so much for providing authentic, wholesome tutorials with dedicated focus on ‘teaching’ and not just ’showing’.
I always come back to your videos when my teacher falls short on technical explanations (which are vital!)
I guess some teachers like to see their students ‘discover the technique through practice’ but that can lead to forming bad habits. I wish you were my teacher!

Dear Andrew, we just signed up our daughter for her first private piano lesson, and I thought hmmm… maybe I myself should take a lesson. Ha! Always like music, but never gotten time to learn an instrument. I searched online, and so luckily came accross your webiste.
